CASE STUDY
ProcureSight
How can we create and easier way for procurement professionals to research previously procured items across the vast number of existing sources?
OVERVIEW
ProcureSight was released at the end of April 2024. It was marketed as a Saas product that will help multiple personas that work within the government contracting space. Historically sites like SAM.gov and USASpending have been used by government workers to get a better understanding of how items were previously procured. These sites, however, were not designed for government personas. They were traditionally designed to give the public better insights into government spending.
Appian stakeholders strove to make a site that was designed for the government contracting persona that would connect data across multiple sources to give users a holistic understanding of the awarding process as well as all of the documents associated with it.
My goal as the new lead designer was to take this product from MVP features to a more competitive feature set that focused on incorporating the newest technological advancements from Appian as well as consumer grade UIs.
